This image from Glenorchy in New Zealand depicts the remnants of an old petrifying tree stump both defying against, and being a testament to time. As another day passes, as another sun sets, it stands weathered and scarred, but unmoved. It has witnessed many of these, and perhaps was even present when the mountains and lakes were created.
