Most images of Neuschwanstein Castle are taken from Marienbrücke (Marie's Bridge) overlooking the castle. This bridge offers a great perspective with panoramic views of the valley and the castle. However it is usually quite crowded, and the bridge moves significantly which is less than ideal for tripod work. A little beyond the bridge which few people ever venture, are a number of walking trails of varying quality. Some of trails take you to various ledges overlooking Marienbrücke as well as the valley. They are not well marked or sign posted, but are fairly easy to navigate by following the ridge. This image was taken from one of the outcrops above the castle. The outcrop is the second from the right in the first image (panorama) of this album.
