Hooker Lake
Our trek to Hooker Lake took about 90 min, which we timed for sunset over Mt. Cook. The weather and storm clouds came in however, and quickly obscured both the sun and Aoraki. The wind chill associated with the front was at least -10C, but enhanced the dynamic elements for this image.
The warmth from Andy's large thermoflask of hot tea was very much appreciated after this shoot, before we walked back in the rain, sleet and dark.
